At the Hawks, we aim to provide a fun and inclusive local sporting club where all our players and families can enjoy basketball and feel part of a great community. With nearly 45 teams and more new teams planned for the summer season, the club is now seeking ‘Hawk Helpers’ so we can continue to be a welcoming and inclusive community club.
WHAT IS A HAWK HELPER?
If you'd like to help your club but have wondered how is the best way to do that is, then the Hawks Helpers program might be for you. Our Hawks Helpers program lets you volunteer a bit of your time or expertise to help out around the club. We are currently looking for the following helpers
NEW TEAM HELPERS
For just a a few weeks at the start of each season you would be allocated a new team to help get ready for their first game. It's as simple as helping new parents learn their way around the club, understand how to register and organise a uniform and helping them through their first training session and game.
If you'd feel more comfortable doing something behind the scenes, volunteering as a TeamApp Helper might be for you. To make sure our club and team news is reaching all our parents we need some help maintaining and updating our parent and team lists on the Hawks TeamApp.
SOCIAL MEDIA HELPERS
If social media such as facebook is more your thing then we have a role for you. We need some helpers to make our facebook page more dynamic with regular posts of club information, team news and game results.
Don't see anything that works for you but would like to help out around the club? That's Ok - contact our club President, Shawn Vlaeminck, and we will find a role that works for you.
